responsibility

I told you I wasn't done with this subject.

So, I was sitting in the kitchen at the counter reading a book. Its a very good book by the title of "Name of the Wind". We had been out working on the cars until dinner and the kids had decided to eat outside. "She" came in to get a drink of water. I could see her out of the corner of my eye as she reached to get a glass from the cabinet. She decided to use the water from the fridge door and somehow she spilled it in the floor. It wasn't a whole glass of water mind you only a couple of tablespoonfuls. I heard the water hit the floor and felt her look down at it. The bad part was that I could feel the mental shrug that she gave and then she turned and walked off. She thought of no one but herself. Someone could slip down in that and break a leg or worse they might hit their head.
I guess I won't be counting on that one for much.

I did clean it up with two paper towels and shooed the cat away from it. You would think that a grown girl would have cleaned up her own mess. You would think...........

But the children of strangers are not mine to raise. I will however come up with a suitable punishment (as if this post wasn't enough.)

goodbye pink phone

This last week the microphone in my daughters phone stopped working. She took it to the Sprint store to see if they could fix it for her. Fat chance. They actually wanted her to purchase a new phone for way too much money and extend my contract for another 2 years. Once again, FAT CHANCE. I had already been toying with the idea of changing companies, now I know that I am dumping Sprint. My contract is up in September and I will be taking my number with me to T Mobile. Erin got a really nice free phone from them and a great plan; although I don't know if she will ever use 1000 min in a month.

It's all about choices, and contracts make me grind my teeth. I'm also getting ready to dump my land line and switch internet providers. Its a good thing I don't own stock in Sprint.

berry hat

The picture doesn't do it justice. This little hat caught my eye and I just had to make one of my own for Brigid. Note the stem.

Ah July

We have had a heat wave. Right now I am listening to the thunder rolling in the distance, and the rain. I really enjoyed having Sean, Jesse and Brigid home with me last week for the fourth and I have decided that I really do want to retire in Colorado.

I finally took some pictures of what I have been up to lately. Today at work I have baby showers to attend. These little booties were the perfect item.
